Chairperson of the Committee on Education, Science, Culture and Sports Mr Radule Novović and Committee members Ms Branka Tanasijević, Ms Aleksandra Vuković, and Mr Ervin Ibrahimović have visited the National Museum of Montenegro in Cetinje.
The visit is organised so that the Committee can learn about the priorities of cultural development in Montenegro, as well as take stock of the situation in Montenegrin cultural institutions.
Representatives of the Committee discussed the state of affairs in certain areas and services of the culture of Montenegro, as well as the measures to promote cultural development, with director of the National Museum of Montenegro in Cetinje Ms Anastazija Miranović. Special interest of the Committee representatives was caused by the still topical issue of 2,900 missing museum pieces owned by the National Museum of Montenegro, which was noted by the Cultural Property Administration. Furthermore, they initiated the issue of strengthening the cooperation between museums from the northern cities of Montenegro and the National Museum, in terms of organising exhibitions and other cultural events.
Within their visit to the National Museum, the Committee representatives visited the exhibition “Eros, blood, holiness” by Mr Dimitrije Popović and Ms Anastazija Miranović in Biljarda.
