Member of the Committee on Education, Science, Culture and Sports Ms Aleksandra Vuković will take part in the roundtable discussion under the initiative “Strengthening Integrity and Combating Corruption in Higher Education”.
The initiative “Strengthening Integrity and Combating Corruption in Higher Education” is funded through programme framework of the European Union and Council of Europe titled “Horizontal Facility for Western Balkans and Turkey”. The project is implemented by the Council of Europe's Education Department in cooperation with Council of Europe Programme Office in Podgorica, the latter of which is also an organiser of this roundtable.
Aside from Member of the Committee on Education, Science, Culture and Sports Ms Aleksandra Vuković, the following will attend the roundtable which is being held at the CentreVille hotel in Podgorica: representatives of the from the Ministry of Education, University of Montenegro, Agency for Prevention of Corruption, private universities, education policy and research institutes, academic community and international organisations and other relevant partners.
At the event, a guidance document “Baseline assessment on integrity in higher education“ will be presented. It provides recommendations on developing tools to fight corruption in the higher education system in Montenegro using the approaches of the Council of Europe’s Pan-European Platform on Ethics, Transparency and Integrity in Education. Council of Europe`s experts Ian Smith and Tom Hamilton will present this document.
Also, participants will discuss how main education actors can develop ethical standards and promote best practices of quality and integrity in higher education.
