Chairperson of the Gender Equality Committee holds a meeting with a member of the team conducting the evaluation of the child rights monitoring system in Montenegro

Chairperson of the Gender Equality Committee Ms Nada Drobnjak today met Ms Jorun Arndt, from the consultant house Coram International UK, a member of the team conducting the second phase of the independent evaluation of the child rights monitoring system in Montenegro.

The Chairperson of the Committee informed Ms Jorun Arndt about the activities of the Committee on the considering of gender aspects of the child rights, especially emphasizing the Committee's activities regarding early arranged child marriages in the Roma and Egyptian community.

The UNICF has launched the independent evaluation of the existing child rights monitoring system, with the aim of considering the existing state and defining recommendations which will contribute to improving the quality of child rights monitoring and creation of the environment in which the child will be recognised as subject of rights, with effective achievement and protection of the child rights.
