At final conference of the project “Women in Management in Montenegro – Support to Women’s Leadership and Career Development in Montenegro”, Chairperson of the Gender Equality Committee Ms Nada Drobnjak was presented with a plaque of the Union of Employers of Montenegro.
Chairperson of the Gender Equality Committee Ms Nada Drobnjak spoke at the opening of the final conference “Women in Management in Montenegro – Support to Women’s Leadership and Career Development in Montenegro”, hosted by the Union of Employers of Montenegro (UPCG), with the support of the International Labour Organisation (ILO) within the regional project of the ILO and UNDP “Promoting Inclusive Labour Market Solutions in the Western Balkans”, funded by the Austrian Development Agency (ADA).
A special ceremony was organised within this event - presentation of awards for “Best female managers in Montenegro” for 2017 (in four categories: economy, public sector, civic sector, media). On this occasion, the laureates were presented to the Montenegrin public, and their responsible work was acknowledged, as well as professional approach to the work and successful results they have achieved, which additionally confirms the strength of women's leadership and the importance of greater participation of women in management and leadership positions.
The ceremony was preceded by the working part of the conference where the report of the Bureau for Employers' Activities of the ILO (ACT/EMP) on women in business and management in Eastern Europe and Central Asia was presented to the public for the first time, which will also put Montenegro in a special focus of regional events.
Representatives of the relevant institutions, academia, NGOs and international organisations took part in today’s conference.
