Chairperson of the Anti-corruption Committee, Ms Daliborka Pejović, and a member of the Gender Equality Committee, Ms Maja Bakrač, attended the Regional Meeting in Sarajevo on "Gender Equality and Corruption".
The Regional Meeting was held in Sarajevo on 15 May 2018, organised by the OSCE Mission to Bosnia and Herzegovina.
Head of the OSCE Mission to Bosnia and Herzegovina, Mr Bruce G. Berton, spoke at the opening of the meeting.
The panel discussion focused on the topics of "Gender Equality and Corruption" and "Shaping anti-corruptive behavior in politics".
Chairperson of the Anti-corruption Committee, Ms Daliborka Pejović, presented the experience of Montenegro in the fight against corruption, the challenges we have been fighting and our legal and institutional framework. During the discussion, among other things, she stressed the problem of case law in dealing with cases of corruption.
Conclusions and recommendations were adopted at the end of the Regional Meeting.
The meeting was attended by representatives of parliaments from Montenegro, Albania, Serbia, Croatia, Macedonia, Bosnia and Herzegovina, the Minister of Defense of Bosnia and Herzegovina, OSCE representatives from BiH, Albania, Serbia and Macedonia, the Director of the Agency for the Prevention of Corruption of BiH, representative of the Association of Women Judges of BiH, NGOs and independent experts.
Chairperson of the Anti-corruption Committee, Ms Daliborka Pejović and a member of the Gender Equality Committee, Ms Maja Bakrač, also attended the meeting dedicated to strengthening of cooperation and connecting MPs in the region, where Ms Lana Ačkar, Gender Equality Advisor at OSCE/ODIHR, among others, presented an overview of the recommendations implemented, following previous meetings.
