Within three day meeting of the Regional Coordination Committee of the gender equality mechanisms - Balkan Region, Chairperson of the Gender Equality Committee Ms Nada Drobnjak held a meeting with Ms Višnja Ljubičić, Ombudswoman for Gender Equality of the Republic of Croatia and Ms Samra Filipović-Hadžiabdić, Director of the Gender Equality Agency of Bosnia and Herzegovina.   

The meeting discussed the regional cooperation in the area of gender equality with a special emphasis on the status of institutional mechanisms and the localisation of action plans for the implementation of Resolution 1325 of the United Nations Security Council – Women, Peace and Security.

The interlocutors noted that the cooperation so far has been successful and agreed its continuation.

The meeting was attended by Ms Kika Svetlin-Babić, Senior Advisor in the Gender Equality Agency of Bosnia and Herzegovina.
