Gender Equality Committee holds its first meeting

At today’s meeting, the Gender Equality Committee has considered, within its jurisdiction, the 2015 Performance Report of the Protector of Human Rights and Freedoms.

 

With the assessment that the 2015 Performance Report of the Protector of Human Rights and Freedoms is the best so far, regarding its overall quality and statistics, and with recommended to the Protector of Human Rights and Freedoms of Montenegro to repeat research on the position of children - victims of domestic violence, the Committee unanimously adopted the Report and proposed to the Committee on Human Rights and Freedoms, as a lead committee, to propose to the Parliament to adopt the 2015 Performance Report of the Protector of Human Rights and Freedoms.

The Committee discussed its forthcoming activities within the item “Current issues”.

Mr Siniša Bjeković, Deputy Protector of Human Rights and Freedoms, attended the meeting.
