Gender Equality Committee holds its 27th Meeting

The Committee has considered the Proposal for the Law on Medically Assisted Fertilisation

At today’s 27th Meeting, the Gender Equality Committee has considered the Proposal for the Law on Medically Assisted Fertilisation, in part of its jurisdiction.

Following the discussion, the Committee unanimously supported the Proposal for the Law, and proposed to the Committee on Health, Labour and Social Welfare (as the lead Committee), to propose to the Parliament to adopt the Proposal for the Law on Medically Assisted Fertilisation.

The Committee noted that the meeting is being held on International Day of Women and Girls in Science, reminding that this date was marked with the aim of achieving full and equal access of women and girls to science, so that they can achieve their full potential as scientists and innovators and in that way promote and strengthen gender equality.

The Committee Meeting was attended by Director General of the Directorate for International Cooperation and Harmonisation of Regulation at the Ministry of Health Ms Slađana Pavlović, Head of the Directorate for Harmonisation of Regulations at the Ministry of Health Ms Slavojka Šuković and General Director of the Health Protection Directorate Ms Mevlida Gusinjac.
