Gender Equality Committee and the OSCE Mission to Montenegro organised one-day workshop on “Gender responsive budgeting”, with the aim of implementing one of the measures from the Action Plan for the Gender Sensitive Parliament of Montenegro, which envisages capacity building and development of procedures for the implementation of assessments in all stages of making and adopting laws, policies, and other acts.
The workshop was held on 14 May, in Podgorica Hotel.
The workshop, conducted by expert Maria Risteska, comprised panels titled “International experiences in applying gender responsive budgeting” and “Entry points for introducing gender responsive budgeting into budgetary cycle”.
The following took part in the workshop: members of the Gender Equality Committee Ms Nada Drobnjak, Ms Branka Tanasijević, Ms Aleksandra Vuković, Ms Sanja Pavićević and Ms Maja Bakrač, MPs Ms Daliborka Pejović, Ms Jovanka Lalićić, Mr Andrija Popović, Mr Radule Novović, the expert and staff from the Ministry of Finance and Statistical Office.
