Sixth Session of Women’s Parliament

The Gender Equality Committee of the Parliament of Montenegro will hold the Sixth Session of the Women’s Parliament, on Friday 7 April 2017, starting at 11h.

This year’s session is dedicated to implementation of activities on the need for greater involvement of women in public and political life, as well as involvement of young members of national minorities and Roma, in order to strengthen their engagement in politics, which has been recognised in the Action Plan for Chapter 23, adopted by the Government.

In addition to MPs, heads of MP groups, members of the Government of Montenegro, members of women’s associations of parliamentary parties and other segments of civil society, the representatives of parliamentary and governmental mechanisms for gender equality issues in the region were also invited to attend the session.

Media representatives are to enter the Parliament of Montenegro by using the annual credential cards together with a personal identification document.
