The following spoke at the opening of the Conference: Secretary General of the Union of Employers of Montenegro (UPCG) Ms Suzana Radulović, representative of the International Labour Organisation (ILO) Ms Katarina Crnjanski-Vlajčić, Chairperson of the Gender Equality Committee of the Parliament of Montenegro Nada Drobnjak, State Secretary at the Ministry of Labour and Social Welfare Ms Vukica Jelić, Head of Department for Gender Equality Affairs at the Ministry of Human and Minority Rights Ms Biljana Pejović, Director of the Directorate for Development of Small and Medium Enterprises at the Ministry of Economy Mr Aleksandar Pavićević, and President of the Association of Businesswomen of Montenegro Ljubica Kostić-Bukarica.
At the opening of the conference, the Chairperson of the Committee, among other things, said that, in its work, the Gender Equality Committee of the Parliament of Montenegro was committed to creating an environment where gender equality would be achieved, as well as to improvement of political and economic rights of women, but also safety and women’s rights in general.
The conference was organised within the project “Women in Management in Montenegro - Support to leadership and professional development of women in Montenegro”, implemented by the Union of Employers of Montenegro and funded by the International Labour Organisation. The project of the Union of Employers of Montenegro represents a part of the project of the International Labour Organisation “Promoting Inclusive Labour Market Solutions in the Western Balkans”.
