Committee on Tourism, Agriculture, Ecology and Spatial Planning ends its Tenth Meeting

The Committee supported the Proposal for the Law on Spatial Planning and Construction of Buildings

At today’s continuation of its Tenth Meeting, the Committee on Tourism, Agriculture, Ecology and Spatial Planning has considered and voted in favour of the Proposal for the Law on Spatial Planning and Construction of Buildings. The proposer of the law accepted 31 amendments by the Committee, which, in accordance with Article 150 of the Rules of Procedure of the Parliament, became an integral part of the Proposal for the Law. During the meeting, it was pointed out that the adoption of this law would create legislative and implementational conditions to stimulate entrepreneurial initiatives and foreign capital investments, comprehensive providing of conditions for more effective investment and high quality valorisation of space. This creates the basis not only for faster economic development, but also for continuity of implementation of capital investments in Montenegro, simplifying of legal and administrative procedure, and better oversight of this significant sector. The Committee members examined the responsibilities of the local government, Government and Parliament in implementation of this law, considered the issues of greater rights and responsibilities established by the proposed law, deadlines for implementation, as well as treatment of nationally and internationally protected areas.
