At the meeting that started today, the Committee opened discussion on the Proposal for the Law on the Provision of Water Safe for Human Consumption. Given that this proposal, in the form of the law, treats water for human consumption for the first time in Montenegro, a series of questions have been raised in the debate. An explanation for the established system of self-control conducted by the legal entity was required, the water treatment process, conditions to be met by employees who come in contact with water in workplaces, materials and objects that come into contact with water. It was pointed to the importance of maintaining the water supply system and recording of readings.
The continuation of the debate and voting has been postponed for the adjourned 13th meeting.
Within the item of Current Issues, the Chairperson of the Committee, Mr Petar Ivanović, informed the Committee members about the results of bilateral meetings held in between the two meetings, as well as about the proposal of the civil sector for amending the Law on Animal Welfare.
