At today’s continuation of the Thirteenth Meeting, the Committee on Tourism, Agriculture, Ecology and Spatial Planning has considered and voted in favour of the Proposal for the Law on the Provision of Water Safe for Human Consumption. This law prescribes the value parameters for harmonising the health safety of water, conditions and obligations of legal persons who are public suppliers of water, as well as the monitoring of the quality of water for consumption, for the purpose of protecting people’s health. The adoption of this Law will provide harmonisation with the EU Directive regulating the quality of water for human consumption.
The Committee decided to submit amendments to the Proposal for the Law for the purpose of making certain solutions clearer. The representative of the proposer accepted the amendments of the Committee making them an integral part of the Proposal for the Law, in accordance with Article 130 paragraph 3 of the Rules of Procedure of the Parliament of Montenegro.
