At the meeting they considered the issues of future cooperation in the field of rural and ecotourism, organic food production, forest management in protected areas and in NATURA 2000 areas.
They also discussed the planned study visit to the Parliament of the Republic Slovenia, which could be implemented in the second quarter of 2019. During this visit, the Committee would learn about the work of other committees covering the same fields of responsibility.
At today’s meeting, there was also proposal for cooperation in the field of tourism and environment, bearing in mind tourism potential of Montenegro, as well as that the negotiation chapter 27 - Environment and climate change was recently opened.
The interlocutors pointed out the significance of cooperation in the fields of spatial planning, in the part relating to the use of space as a non-renewable resource, but also the Parliament’s role in adopting the state’s spatial plan.
