At today’s meeting, the Committee on Tourism, Agriculture, Ecology and Spatial Planning has considered and voted in favour of the Law on Amendments to the Law on Transport of Hazardous Substance. The draft law, in relation to the current legal text, further aligns with the envisaged international treaties.

Also, the Committee adopted the 2020 Work Plan of the Committee. The Plan includes: legislative activity, thematic activities, consideration of the implementation of the parliamentary conclusions, consultative and control hearings and international activities. In 2020, the Committee will pay a special attention to negotiation chapters within its jurisdiction, namely:  11 - Agriculture and rural development, 12 - Food safety, veterinary and phytosanitary policy, 13 – Fisheries and 27 - Environment and climate change, as well as other chapters containing the acquis closely related to the areas covered by the Committee.
