At today’s meeting, the Committee on Tourism, Agriculture, Ecology and Spatial Planning has considered and voted in favour of the Proposal for the Law on Amendments to the Law on Ski Resorts. The discussion included the need for harmonisation with the EU acquis in the sense of foreign legal persons providing their services in ski resorts, whether or not the consent of local government was needed for working with foreign companies, and they explained the assessment of whether the facilities meet the conditions prescribed by the Montenegrin legislation and which also apply to foreign legal persons. They also provided explanations on why the responsibilities of communal police were regulated by a large number of laws.
Following the discussion, the Committee submitted five amendments to the Proposal for the Law on Amendments to the Law on Ski Resorts, and the representative of the proposer agreed with them thus making them an integral part of the Proposal for the Law, in accordance with Article 150 paragraph 3 of the Rules of Procedure of the Parliament of Montenegro.
The Committee also considered the Proposal for the Law on Amendments to the Law on Tourism Organizations. In the context of elaborating on the amendment to the Law, the representative of the proposer informed the Committee that the Ministry was working on a strategic marketing plan which would represent a basis for work in this area and for preparation of the new Law on Tourism Organizations. Considering that the reason behind the adoption of the Law on Amendment to the Law on Tourism Organizations was to harmonise the Law with the new Law on Administrative Procedure, the Committee supported the Proposal for the Law without debate.
