At today’s continuation of the Ninth Meeting, the Committee on Tourism, Agriculture, Ecology and Spatial Planning has considered and voted in favour of the Proposal for the Law on the market of agricultural products. The adoption of this Law will regulate conditions for placing agricultural products on the market, organisation of producers of agricultural products, measures that would be implemented within the intervention at the market of agricultural products and other issues important for the market of agricultural products. This creates the basis for ensuring the efficient functioning of the market for agricultural products in stable conditions, the control of the quality of products being marketed, the strengthening of the competitiveness of the producers through the formation of producer organisations and the establishment of unique rules for the placement of products on the market, with adequate control over the implementation of market regulation measures. The Committee decided to modify the name of the Proposal for the Law and submit amendments for the purpose of making certain solutions clearer.
The Committee also considered the Proposal for the Law on Amendments to the Law on Construction Products, whose provisions are being harmonised with the Law on Administrative Procedure.
