A consultative hearing of Mr Kemal Purišić, Minister of Labour and Social Welfare, Mr Mevludin Nuhodžić, Minister of Interior, and Mr Kenan Hrapović, Minister of Health, was conducted, on the topic: “Protection of and help to women victims of violence and victims of domestic violence”.
At the joint meeting of the three committees held today, the line ministers in attendance, the representative of the institution of the Protector of Human Rights and Freedoms, UNDP, OSCE Mission to Montenegro and the representatives of the civil sector exchanged opinions on the topic: “Protection of and help to women victims of violence and victims of domestic violence”.
The hearing was focused on the current legislative framework, implementation and models of support to women victims of violence and victims of domestic violence. The invited ministers, within their responsibilities, talked about key challenges and upcoming activities aimed at improvement of the subject area. The members of the three committees also voiced their opinions and views on the subject and posed questions to the invited ministers. The representatives of the civil sector also actively participated in the debate, and they conveyed their views by referring to examples from practice.
After the end of the debate, it was noted that the three committees would continue further cooperation aimed at monitoring and improving this complex social problem.
