Two items of the agenda considered

At its Meeting held today, the Committee on Health, Labour and Social Welfare has considered and supported the Proposal for the Law on Social Council.

Within the item “current issues”, members of the Committee learned about the meeting in the Special Psychiatric Hospital “Dobrota” in Kotor, attended by the Committee Chairoerson Mr Suad Numanović and MPs Ms Maja Bakrač and Mr Mirsad Murić.

Also, the Committee considered the conclusions of the Council for Civilian Control of Police Operations, which acted upon citizens’ complaints.

Institute for Social and Child Welfare, with UNICEF support, is analysing and assessing the work of centres for social services in Montenegro. To this end, Ms Maja Bakrač, member of the Committee, will take part in a half-structured interview.

Upon the initiative by President of the Social Council of Montenegro Mr Kemal Purišić, a joint meeting of the Social Council of Montenegro and the Committee on Health, Labour and Social Welfare will be held.
