Delegation of the Committee on Health, Labour and Social Welfare, composed of Chairperson of the Committee of Mr Suad Numanović and members of the Committee Mr Halil Duković, Ms Maja Bakrač, Mr Nedžad Drešević, and Ms Draginja Vuksanović-Stanković, is paying a three-day visit to Ankara, the Republic of Turkey.
On day one of the study visit, a meeting was held in the Ministry of Labour, Social Services and Family. The parliamentary delegation met Minister of Labour, Social Services and Family Ms Zehra Zümrüt Selçuk and Deputy Minister Ms Ayşe Ergeze.
Turkish Minister of Labour, Social Services and Family Ms Zehra Zümrüt Selçuk stressed that Montenegro and the Republic of Turkey had long-term cooperation and that Montenegro was one of the countries in the region with an important influence on peace in the Balkans. She believes that by mutual visits, the friendship between the two countries would be strengthened and cultivated in the upcoming period. She underlined the importance of the Agreement between Montenegro and the Republic of Turkey on cooperation in the field of labour, social security and employment, signed in Ankara on 14 March 2012. The Minister also emphasised the importance of the Turkish Cooperation and Coordination Agency (TIKA), being extremely successful and important for the health care system in Montenegro.
Emphasising good relations with the Republic of Turkey, Chairperson of the Committee Mr Suad Numanović, said that the Committee on Health, Labour and Social Welfare would give its contributing to an even stronger strengthening of the relations between the two countries, both in the fields of economy, culture, health and other important areas. Mr Numanović expressed satisfaction with the steady development of the Republic of Turkey in all areas, giving full support to its efforts to strengthen stability and security, creating a favourable environment for further economic and overall prosperity of the Republic of Turkey and its citizens.
Today’s meeting was also attended by Ambassador of Montenegro to Turkey Mr Branko Milić.
