On day two of the study visit, delegation of the Committee on Health, Labour and Social Welfare of the Parliament of Montenegro held two meetings in the Grand National Assembly of the Republic of Turkey with Mr Şenel Yediyıldız, Chairperson of the Committee on Health, Family, Labor and Social Affairs and Ms Arife Polat Duzgun, member of the Committee, as well as with Mr Volkan Bozkır, Chairperson of the Committee on Foreign Affairs and Ms Sena Nur Çelık, Mr Radıye Sezer Katırcıoğlu, Mr Ahmet Yıldız and Mr Erol Kavuncu, members of the Committee. Also, the delegation had two meetings in the Ministry of Health, with Deputy Minister Ms Emine Alp Meşe, Mr Selami Kılıç, General Director for EU and Foreign Affairs, as well as with associates of the General Directorate, who delivered a presentation on the health system of the Republic of Turkey.
The interlocutors spoke about: good bilateral relations of the two countries, signed agreements in the field of health, labour and social security, economic development of the two countries, cooperation with Turkish agency TIKA, NATO membership, European integrations, improvement of parliamentary and economic cooperation, trade statistics, reform processes, improvement of health tourism, maintaining stability and preserving peace, a mixed commission, education of Montenegrin students and training of Montenegrin medical doctors in the Republic of Turkey, establishing cooperation in the field of medicine, pharmacy and dentistry, as well as cooperation with Turkish private hospital Acibadem.
The delegation of the Committee is composed of its Chairperson of Mr Suad Numanović and its members Mr Halil Duković, Ms Maja Bakrač, Mr Nedžad Drešević, and Ms Draginja Vuksanović-Stanković.
Today’s meetings were also attended by Ambassador of Montenegro to Turkey Mr Branko Milić.
