Members of the Committee on Health, Labour and Social Welfare visit the General Hospital in Cetinje

The Committee Chairperson Mr Suad Numanović, Committee members Mr Nikola Divanović, Mr Nedžad Drešević, and Ms Draginja Vuksanović-Stanković, and Mr Mirsad Murić today have paid a working visit to the Danilo I General Hospital in Cetinje.

The motive behind this working visit is the intention of the Committee members to learn about the manner of organisation and operation of the Hospital, as well as the quality of stay for patients in that health institution.

During the visit, a meeting was held with the director of the Hospital Dr Sonja Radojičić and her associates, with the representatives of the Old Royal Capital of Cetinje in attendance.

Director Dr Sonja Radojičić has informed the attendees about the manner of organisation and operation of the Hospital, the results they are proud of, as well as the problems they are facing. While speaking about the problem, she pointed out that in that sense, the priority activity was to implement the reconstruction project of the old Children’s Hospital, with which the attendees agreed and, in that respect, they noted the reconstruction project of the old Children’s Hospital could be implemented with the partnership between the local self-government and the Directorate of Public Works of Montenegro.

Based on the voiced views and proposals, the Committee Chairperson Mr Suad Numanović said that the Committee was giving its full support to the Danilo I Hospital in Cetinje, and within its ability, remained open for further cooperation and assistance to the Danilo I Hospital.

Within the Danilo I Hospital operates a series of units - wards, and the Ward for Human Reproduction is the first, and so far the only state institution, whose work, among other things, contributes to the increase in the number of newborns.
