Communiqué by the Committee on Health, Labour and Social Welfare

Support for has been done, citizens to be disciplined and observe the recommendations by the state authorities

The Committee on Health, Labour and Social Welfare provides absolute support to the healthcare system in these difficult and challenging times, and commends the self-sacrifice shown these days by doctors and other medical staff, all in order to protect the citizens of Montenegro.

Furthermore, it is noted that the preventive measures undertaken by the responsible bodies yielded results, and thus owing to this Montenegro was the last European country to get COVID-19.

However, now it is crucial to uphold the recommendations by the National Coordination Body for Communicable Diseases, thus we urge our citizens to respect the action being implemented these days and to remain in their homes.

It is especially important for the elderly citizens to uphold these recommendations, and for us as a society to help them so they can live unhindered lives in isolation, by helping them with obtaining groceries and meeting their other daily needs.

Citizens, let us show unity and unite our capacities, because that is the only way we can jointly exit this battle as winners.
