Chairperson of the Committee on Health, Labour and Social Welfare, Mr Suad Numanović, addressed the citizens regarding the situation caused by the novel coronavirus:
"These days, when our country is facing one of the biggest global health crises in recent history, it is very important that all of us, by personal example, show responsibility and solidarity by following the recommendations of the National Coordination Body for Communicable Diseases and the Government of Montenegro.
I believe that social and child welfare institutions provide such an example with their actions. In other words, we are pleased to state that public institutions – Senior Home in Risan, Pljevlja and Bijelo Polje, the licensed home "Duga", "Komanski most", Center "Ljubović" and the Children's Home "Mladost" in Bijela do not have any persons infected with the virus CoVID-19 so far. These are institutions that have hundreds of beneficiaries, and the very fact that there are no infected persons among them or among the employees of these institutions speaks of discipline and that the recommendations of the National Coordination Body have been followed in the best possible way. Namely, we should bear in mind that part of the beneficiaries of these institutions belong to the so-called vulnerable group and this success is even greater. I hope that the situation will be the same in the days ahead of us, as long as the danger we face is ongoing, in order to preserve the health of both the users and employees of this institution and their loved ones with whom they are in daily contact.
Respected citizens, let us follow the good examples, by protecting others from ourselves, we protect ourselves, and the society as a whole. Let us stay at home!"
