Committee on Health, Labour and Social Welfare, at the meeting that was held today, considered and endorsed the Proposal for the Law on Executing a Decision of the Constitutional Court of Montenegro U-I No. 6/16 of 19 April 2017 (Official Gazette of Montenegro No. 31/17) and the Proposal for the Law on Amendments to the Law on Social and Child Welfare.

Representatives of proposers of laws attended the meeting of the Committee: Mr Kemal Purišić, Minister of Labour and Social Welfare, Ms Nataša Pešić, Secretary General of the Government of Montenegro, Ms Tamara Ivković, Coordinator at the Department for Budget Policy and Procedures of the Budget Directorate at the Ministry of Finance, Mr Goran Kuševija, Director General of the Directorate for Social Welfare and Child Protection and Ms Budimka Novaković, Advisor at the Ministry of Labour and Social Welfare.

The meeting was also attended by Mr Momir Joksimović, the President of the Party of pensioners, invalids and restitution and Ms Jovana Bulatović, Public Policy Researcher at the Institute Alternative.

In addition, the Committee adopted conclusions from the Seventh Meeting, dedicated to the World No Tobacco Day, which will be forwarded to competent authorities.

Within the item Curent issues, the Committee was informed about the activities of the Chairperson of the Committee for Health, Labor and Social Welfare, Mr Suad Numanović, from the previous period.
