At the meeting that was held today, the continuation of yesterday's meeting of the Working Group for the Implementation of the OSCE/ODIHR Recommendations, the text of the Proposal for the Law on Amendments to the Law on Voter Register was harmonised.

A special emphasis was placed on the harmonisation of the Law on Voter Register with the Law on Personal Data Protection in accordance with recommendations form OSCE/ODIHR and representatives of state bodies who made their proposals and suggestions in the course of the previous meeting, in order to provide protection of personal data.

Also, during the meeting, the Charperson of the Working Group informed the members about the initiative to improve electoral legislation, submitted by the Women Political Network and some other associations, following the closing of the Public Invitation.

It was agreed that the members of the Working Group discuss all new comments, suggestions and proposals on Friday, 17 November 2017.
