Working Group for Implementation of OSCE/ODIHR Recommendations holds its Thirteenth Meeting

At the meeting that was held today, the Working Group considered a method of implementing recommendations from the OSCE/ODIHR Election Observation Mission Final Report in part relating to the Law on the Election of Councillors and MPs.

Members of the Working Group worked on the completion of the text of the Draft Law on Amendments to the Law on the Election of Councillors and MPs, taking into account all the concrete proposals and suggestions submitted to the Working Group by the representatives of competent institutions and interested non-governmental organisations.

During the detailed consideration of certain proposals, members of the Working Group noted that the implementation of a number of recommendations from the OSCE/ODIHR Report did not require the amendment of the Law, but that certain recommendations could be defined by secondary legislation.

Working Group will continue tomorrow its work on the determination of the Draft Law on Amendments to the Law on the Election of Councillors and MPs.
