Chairperson of the Legislative Committee Ms Marta Šćepanović and a member of the Committee Ms Jovanka Laličić have met today with an Italian expert Mr Alessandro Zagarella who is staying in Montenegro within the IPA Twinning Project “Support to the Implementation of the Integrity Measures”, whose beneficiary is the Agency for Prevention of Corruption (APC).
Within the activity of the component III of the subject IPA project, aimed at the strengthening of institutional and administrative capacities of the APC for coordination and oversight of the implementation of the Law on Lobbying, among other things, the analysis of the current implementation of that law was envisaged, as well as, for that purpose, the meetings with the representatives of a part of institutions and bodies subject to the law.
During the meeting they shared experiences with regard to the implementation and significance of the institute of lobbying, with special focus on the role of lobbyists in the legislative process. They also pointed out the need for promoting this institute to the overall public, i.e. the significance of knowing the Law on Lobbying.
In addition to Mr Zagarella, the meeting was also attended by Ms Sonya Levstick, Standing Twinning Advisor on the project, and Mr Darko Brajović, project assistant, as well as Mr Dalibor Šaban and Mr Marko Škerović, representatives of the Agency for Prevention of Corruption.
