Tenth Session of the Women’s Parliament

Women’s Parliament on the position of women in the context of the adoption of the Resolution on women’s rights in the Western Balkans

The Tenth Session of the Women’s Parliament will be held in the Great Hall of the Parliament of Montenegro, on Friday 8 March, from 11h to 14h, organised by the Gender Equality Committee of the Parliament of Montenegro.

President of the Parliament of Montenegro Mr Ivan Brajović will open the Tenth Session of the Women’s Parliament, which will be dedicated to considering the position of women in the Western Balkans in the context of the adoption of the Resolution on women’s rights in the Western Balkans (Bosnia and Herzegovina, Serbia, Montenegro, Macedonia, Albania, and Kosovo) at the meeting of the Committee on Women's Rights and Gender Equality (FEMM) of the European Parliament.

The participants will also include MPs, heads of MP groups, chairpersons of working bodies of the Parliament of Montenegro, vice presidents of the Parliament of Montenegro, members of the Government of Montenegro, as well as members of women’s associations, parliamentary parties and other segments of civil society and representatives of Western Balkans parliaments.

MEP Biljana Borzan, who drafted the text of the Resolution, was unable to attend the Women’s Parliament due to the election campaign, but instead she sent a 10-minute video message.
