Parliament marks V-E Day with a concert of KIC Pop Chorus and a discussion

The Parliament of Montenegro celebrates Victory in Europe Day (V-E Day), 9 May, with a range of activities, holding the role of state institutions - among them the highest legislative body - is to promote values modern Montenegro has been based on, as well as to consider topics of the widest social importance.

With the support of SUBNOR and anti-fascists of Montenegro, following the traditional laying of wreath at the Monument of the Partisan Fighter in Gorica, a discussion on "Resisting populist movements" will be organised in the Parliament on 9 May at 12 pm. With the participation of historians, sociologists, cultural scientists and MPs, the discussion will be about the influence of populist ideas on our society, primarily young people, as well as whether they represent a negation of anti-fascist values.

On the evening of 8 May at 8 pm, on the plateau in front of the Parliament of Montenegro, a concert of the Pop Chorus of the Cultural and Information Center (KIC) will be held, performing songs from the period of National Liberation War (NOB), conducted by Mr Saša Barjaktarović. This is a very popular repertoire, for which a demand for an extra ticket has been ongoing even after six performances. The concert in front of the Parliament is the gift of the highest legislative body to the citizens on the occasion of V-E Day.
