- Intensive parliamentary cooperation of Montenegro and Bulgaria, particularly during the Bulgarian presidency of the EU, is a significant contribution to the strengthening of the overall political cooperation of the two states - this is a conclusion of today’s meeting of President of the Parliament of Montenegro Mr Ivan Brajović and Prime Minister of the Republic of Bulgaria Mr Boyko Borissov. The next month visit by Tsveta Karayancheva, Speaker of the Bulgarian National Assembly, will also serve this end, which is a first visit of a Bulgarian Speaker to the State of Montenegro.
Mr Brajović expressed his gratitude for the continuous support and concreate help of Bulgaria to our European path as well as their successful presidency of the EU, during which the attention of Member States was refocused on the enlargement.
Mr Brajović stressed that citizens of Montenegro have confirmed their Euro-Atlantic and European commitment at the presidential and local elections. The major part of the opposition has returned to the Parliament due to elections result, while in the forthcoming period we will work on further improvement of the electoral environment - President of the Parliament of Montenegro Mt Ivan Brajović emphasised.
