President of the Parliament hosts the Ambassador of Turkey in a farewell visit

President of the Parliament of Montenegro, Mr Ivan Brajović, hosted the Ambassador of the Republic of Turkey, Mr Serhat Galip, on the occasion of the end of his diplomatic mission to Montenegro.

- The two countries have continually developed friendly relations, especially in the economic field, where significant improvements have been recorded during the mandate of the Ambassador Galip, the President of the Parliament assessed.

Stressing the contribution of the Ambassador Galip to the deepening of the interstate relations between Montenegro and the Republic of Turkey, President Brajović reminded that a large number of citizens that come from Montenegro have been living in Turkey, which represented a kind of bridge of cooperation between the two countries.

Ambassador Galip thanked President Brajović for his continued support that he had experienced during his diplomatic mission and said that Montenegro was, for many reasons, a country to be looked up to, not only in the Western Balkans, but in the whole of Europe. He expressed satisfaction with the fact that the trade in goods recorded continuous growth. He particularly emphasised the fact that by the scope of foreign direct investments in Montenegro, Turkey has occupied the third place at the moment.

The meeting also covered issues of regional stability, as well as the process of European integration.
