At today’s meeting, the Committee on Economy, Finance and Budget considered six amendments, which MPs Mr Predrag Sekulić, Mr Branko Čavor, and Ms Jovanka Laličić submitted to the Proposal for the Law on Safety of Maritime Navigation. Following the acceptance by the proposer, the Committee noted that the amendments became an integral part of the Proposal for the Law, including amendment 2 with the altered text. Furthermore, in line with Article 148 of the Rules of Procedure of the Parliament, the Committee submitted one amendment to the Proposal for the Law.
Under the item of the agenda Current issues, the Committee considered three initiatives for holding control hearings, as follows:
- Initiative for the control hearing of the President of the Council and acting Director of the Agency for Protection of Competition, on: “Work of the Agency for Protection of Competition in the field of allocation of state aid”, submitted by MP Mr Raško Konjević.
- Initiative for the control hearing of the Minister of Finance, Director of the Public Property Administration, and Director of the Real-Estate Administration, with regard to the Final Report of the State Audit Institution for audit of success: “Success of establishing, managing and control of the records of state property at the state authorities” submitted by MP Mr Srđan Milić, and
- Initiative for the control hearing of the Governor of the Central Bank of Montenegro, on: “Issues of implementing moratorium on payment of credit obligations for citizens of Montenegro and the role of the Central Bank of Montenegro in this process”, submitted by MP Mr Raško Konjević.
With regard to the above, the Committee did not support the initiative for the control hearing of the President of the Council and acting Director of the Agency for Protection of Competition and the initiative for the control hearing of the Minister of Finance, Director of the Public Property Administration, and Director of the Real-Estate Administration.
With regard to the initiative for the control hearing of the Governor of the Central Bank of Montenegro, after the submitter of the initiative MP Mr Raško Konjević accepted the Committee’s suggestion, the Committee decided to hold a control hearing of the Governor of the Central Bank of Montenegro on the said topic on 6 July 2020, starting at 11:00am.
In line with the above, the control hearing of the Director of the Tax Administration will be moved from Monday to Tuesday 7 July 2020, starting at 10:00am.
