Delegation of the Committee on European Integration ends its visit to the National Assembly of the Republic of Bulgaria

The Protocol on Cooperation of the two committees signed, and concrete models of cooperation in the field of European integration considered

Delegation of the Committee on European Integration of the Parliament of Montenegro in the following composition: Chairperson Mr Adrijan Vuksanović and members Ms Daliborka Pejović, Mr Momčilo Martinović and Mr Nikola Rakočević paid a visit to the National Assembly of the Republic of Bulgaria, upon the invitation of Mr Kristian Vigenin, Chair of the Committee on European affairs and Oversight of the European funds. During the past two days, the delegation had a series of meetings at the highest parliamentary and executive level. On these occasions, members of the Committee exchanged useful information with regard to Montenegro’s integration process, the results achieved in that sense, but also the steps needed to meet the benchmarks expected in the upcoming period.  

During the meetings with their Bulgarian counterparts, members of the parliamentary committee stressed the significance of the support, aware that parliamentary diplomacy would have the key importance in the next negotiation phase of Montenegro and the EU. They also underlined the importance of stronger Union presence, in order to maintain enthusiasm and citizens' support to the European idea and values.
