Committee on Human Rights and Freedoms holds its 62nd Meeting

The Committee considered the 2019 Performance Report of the Protector of Human Rights and Freedoms

Following comprehensive discussion, the Committee has unanimously supported the 2019 Performance Report of the Protector of Human Rights and Freedoms of Montenegro, and it will submit the Report with Proposal for Conclusions to the Parliament thereof.

The Committee adopted Information Note on participation of Ms Nada Drobnjak, Chairperson of Gender Equality Committee, and Mr Momcilo Martinović, MP, in the Fourth Meeting of the Human Rights and Gender Equality Network of Committees in the Western Balkan (HUGEN) Steering Committee, held on 26 June 2020.

Within the Current Issues, members of the Committee were informed about the Report of the State Department on Trafficking in Human Beings, published on 25 June 2020 and the part of the Report related to Montenegro, which was submitted to the Committee by the Acting Director General of the Directorate General for Multilateral Affairs in the Ministry of Foreign Affairs Ambassador Veljko Milonjić.
