Montenegro and Bosnia and Herzegovina have no open issues. On the contrary, they have very good cooperation and they should be persistent in promoting such policy - this is a joint assessment by Chairperson of the Committee on International Relations and Emigrants Mr Andrija Nikolić and Ambassador of B&H to Montenegro H.E. Vinko Radovanović.
Noting that Montenegro attaches special importance to regional cooperation, Mr Nikolić emphasised that any serious state that holds to its reputation in the world must achieve close cooperation with countries from its closest neighbourhood, because it is a prerequisite to become a respectable factor in the international political scene.
Speaking about good cooperation between the two countries in the process of European integration, Mr Radovanović stressed that it would be of great importance for parliamentarians from Bosnia and Herzegovina to exchange experiences on the role of parliaments in the process of European integration. Mr Radovanović said that Montenegro, as a frontrunner in this process, by sharing its experience, can contribute to easier overcoming of the next stages in the accession process of the countries from the Western Balkans region.
The meeting discussed the need for further improvement of interparliamentary cooperation, particularly through the intensification of communication at the level of parliamentary working bodies and friendship groups.
The interlocutors jointly noted that the improvement of the traffic connections of the two countries would improve economic cooperation, and additionally bring the numerous immigrant communities to their mother country.
