The two-day Regional Conference, which has gathered gender equality and public administration reform experts from the Western Balkans, staff members dealing with gender equality and public administration reform in relevant institutions, as well as representatives of non-governmental organisations from Montenegro, Serbia, and Bosnia and Herzegovina, has ended in Belgrade today.
The Conference was aimed at the development of gender equality policies that should be connected with the public administration reform among the ReSPA members. The discussion covered gender-responsible budgeting, while the results of the regional research on gender equality in public administration were also presented, with special emphasis on the state of affairs in Montenegro, Serbia, and Bosnia and Herzegovina.
High officials from the Republic of Serbia and Bosnia and Herzegovina, EU ambassadors, Organisation for Security and Cooperation in Europe (OSCE), and Ambassador of Montenegro to the Republic of Serbia, as well as the Head of UN WOMEN in Serbia, who addressed the event participants, gave their strong political support to the efforts to develop gender equality policies in the public administration reform context.
