Chairperson of the Constitutional Committee of the Parliament of Montenegro, Mr Miodrag Vuković, participated in the Third Session of the International Parliament for Peace and Tolerance, held on 25-27 June in Buenos Aires, organised by the Global Council for Peace and Tolerance.
At a gathering opened by the President of the Chamber of Deputies of the Argentine National Congress, Mr Emilio Monzó, parliamentarians from 40 countries of the world discussed joint efforts for strengthening and promotion of the values of tolerance and peace in the world.
The International Parliament, ahead of the Plenary Session, also held meetings of general committees, and Mr Miodrag Vuković, MP, participated in the meeting of the General Committee on International Relations.
In addition to prominent state officials from Argentina and parliamentarians, participants of the event were also addressed by the Argentine human rights activist and Nobel Peace Prize recipient, Mr Adolfo Pérez Esquivel.
It was decided at the session that the next session of the International Parliament for Peace and Tolerance be held in Austria.
Global Council for Peace and Tolerance is an international organisation aimed at spreading the principles and values of peace and tolerance in the world, with an emphasis on the younger population.
