Parliament of Montenegro's Permanent Delegation to the NATO Parliamentary Assembly composed of Mr Obrad Mišo Stanišić and Mr Genci Nimanbegu will participate in the 63rd Annual Session of the NATO Parliamentary Assembly, which will be held in Bucharest, Romania, in the period 6-9 October 2017.
This meeting will be hosted by the Permanent Delegation of the Republic of Romania to the NATO Parliamentary Assembly.
The 63rd Annual Session in Bucharest will gather parliamentarians from 29 NATO member states, from North America and Europe, as well as delegates from partner countries and observer countries, with a goal to consider current security issues and draft reports of the Parliamentary Assembly’s committees in that respect.
Saturday and Sunday, 7 and 8 October, will be devoted to meetings of five committees of the NATO Parliamentary Assembly: Political, Defence and Security Committee, Science and Technology Committee, Committee on the Civil Dimension of Security and Economics and Security Committee.
During the said meetings, the delegates will be addressed by representatives of governments, academic community, NGO sector, and NATO.
At the Plenary Session, which will be held on 9 October, the participants in the Session will be addressed by the following: President of the NATO Parliamentary Assembly Mr Paolo Alli, President of Romania Mr Klaus Iohannis, President of the Senate of Romania Mr Călin Popescu-Tăriceanu, President of the Chamber of Deputies of Romania Mr Nicolae-Liviu Dragnea NATO Secretary General and Chair of the North Atlantic Council Mr Jens Stoltenberg.
