The aim of the visit by the Economics and Security Committee - Sub-Committee on Transition and Development to Azerbaijan is the establishment of parliamentary dialogue on Azerbaijan's foreign and regional policy, security and stability in the Middle East and Central Asia, economic and domestic challenges of the host country, energy policy in this area and energy security in the Caucasus and Central Asia region.
On day two of the visit by the Economics and Security Committee - Sub-Committee on Transition and Development, a Roundtable was held at the Delegation of the European Union to Azerbaijan with Ambassador Kestutis Jankauskas, Head of the EU delegation to Azerbaijan and Gulam M. Isaczai, UN Resident Coordinator. Also, a meeting was held with Mr Naveed Hassan Naqvijem, Country Manager of the World Bank for Azerbaijan, as well as with members of the Azerbaijani National Assembly to the NATO Parliamentary Assembly.
Members of the Permanent Delegation to the NATO Parliamentary Assembly Mr Obrad Mišo Stanišić and MrTarzan Milošević are taking part in the visit of the Economics and Security Committee - Sub-Committee on Transition and Development to Baku, Azerbaijan.
