Parliament of Montenegro's Permanent Delegation to the NATO Parliamentary Assembly composed of Mr Obrad Mišo Stanišić, Head of the Delegation, and Mr Genci Nimanbegu, member, will take part in the work of the NATO Parliamentary Assembly Spring Session, to be held from 31 May to 3 June 2019, in Bratislava, the Slovak Republic.
This meeting will be hosted by the Permanent Delegation of the Slovak Republic to the NATO Parliamentary Assembly.
The Spring Session in Bratislava will bring together approximately 260 parliamentarians from 29 NATO member states, from North America and Europe, as well as delegates from partner countries and observer countries, with a goal to consider current security issues and draft reports of the Parliamentary Assembly’s committees.
During the meeting, on 1 and 2 June, meetings of five NATO PA committees will be held, namely of the: Political Committee, Defence and Security Committee, Science and Technology Committee, Committee on the Civil Dimension of Security, and Economics and Security Committee.
During the said meetings, the delegates will be addressed by representatives of governments, academic community, NATO and the NGOs.
During the Plenary Session, on Monday 3 June 2019, as it was announced, the following will address the participants: NATO PA President Ms Madeleine Moon, President of the Slovak Republic Mr Andrej Kiska, Speaker of the National Council of the Slovak Republic Mr Andrej Danko, Prime Minister of Slovakia Mr Peter Pellegrini and NATO's Assistant Secretary General for Political Affairs and Security Policy, Ambassador Alejandro Alvargonzález.
