Members of the Parliament of Montenegro's Permanent Delegation to the NATO Parliamentary Assembly Mr Obrad Mišo Stanišić and Mr Genci Nimanbegu are taking part in the NATO PA Spring Session.
On day one, a meeting of the Standing Committee was held, during which the activities planned for 2019 were updated, with special emphasis on priorities in the work and current issues from the NATO Pa’s scope of work. During the continuation of the meeting, a discussion was held about the document “Ratification of North Macedonia's Accession Protocol”, followed by the exchange of views on the amendments to the Parliamentary Assembly’s Rules of Procedure, along with the presentation of an innovative document and a comparative analysis in this regard.
Draft budget for financial 2020 was presented to the attendees of the Standing Committee meeting, while future sessions of NATO PA were also discussed as well as planned meetings of this body. This was followed by presentation of the activities for the upcoming annual session of the NATO PA.
Also, a meeting of the Working Group on Education and Communication about NATO was held, covering the topic of the Slovak experience in improving education and information on NATO among citizens.
The Spring Session in Bratislava has brought together approximately 280 parliamentarians from 29 NATO member states, from North America and Europe, as well as delegates from partner countries and observer countries, with a goal to consider current security issues and draft reports of the Parliamentary Assembly’s committees.
