Spring Session of the NATO PA ends with Plenary Session

Members of the Permanent Delegation of the NATO Parliamentary Assembly Mr Obrad Mišo Stanišić, Mr Genci Nimanbegu, and Mr Tarzan Milošević participated in the work of the Spring Session of the NATO Parliamentary Assembly

On day four, the final day of the Session, 29 May 2017, Plenary Session was held, during which the participants were addressed by the President of the NATO Parliamentary Assembly Mr Paolo Alli, Chairman of the Parliament of Georgia Mr Irakli Kobakhidze, President of Georgia Mr Giorgi Margvelashvili, Prime Minister of Georgia Mr Giorgi Kvirikashvili, and Deputy Secretary General of NATO Ms Rose Gottemoeller, followed by the discussion based on questions posed by the participants in the Session.

Then the participants in the Plenary Session were addressed by Chairman of the Verkhovna Rada - Parliament of Ukraine Mr Andriy Parubiy.

In the continuation of the Session, based on the conducted discussion, followed the voting of the participants on draft Declaration on “Supporting Georgia’s Euro-Atlantic Integration” by Rapporteur Ms Rasa Jukneviciene , Lithuania, Vice-President of the NATO Parliamentary Assembly, followed by the voting of delegates on proposal of financial documents after the presentation of the Treasurer of the NATO Parliamentary Assembly Mr Marc Angel and voting on Draft Amendments to the Rules of Procedure of the NATO PA.

The Spring Session of the NATO PA gathered the representatives of parliaments of member states from the North America and Europe, associate and partner states, observer states, and other relevant representatives, with a goal discussing common security issues of international nature.

The Permanent Delegation of the NATO Parliamentary Assembly, which participated in the 2017 Spring Session of the NATO Parliamentary Assembly, consisted of: Mr Obrad Mišo Stanišić, Mr Genci Nimanbegu and Mr Tarzan Milošević.

The 2017 Spring Session of the NATO Parliamentary Assembly ends today with the Plenary Session.
