Gender Equality Committee, at the Sixth Meeting that was held today, considered 2016 Performance Report of the Protector of Human Rights and Freedoms of Montenegro, within its purview

At their Fifth Meeting held today, the Gender Equality Committee considered the Implementation Report on the Implementation Programme 2015-2016 of the Plan of Action for Gender Equality (PAPRR) for 2016 and learned about the Plan of Action for Gender Equality (PAPRR) for 2017-2021 with the Implementation Programme for the period 2017-2018. 

This year’s session is dedicated to implementation of activities on the need for greater involvement of women in public and political life, as well as involvement of young members of national minorities and Roma, in order to strengthen their engagement in politics, which has been recognised in the Action Plan for Chapter 23, adopted by the Government.

The Gender Equality Committee of the Parliament of Montenegro will hold the Sixth Session of the Women’s Parliament, on Friday 7 April 2017, starting at 11h.

During the continued Fourth Meeting of the Gender Equality Committee, the agenda of the Sixth Session of the Women's Parliament was established, which will be held on 7 April 2017, aimed at promoting women's human rights in Montenegro and marking the the International Romani Day.
