Head of the Permanent Delegation of the Parliament of Montenegro to the CEI-PD Mr Miodrag Vuković took part in the Meeting of the General Committee on Economic Affairs of the Parliamentary Dimension of the Central European Initiative, held on 24 -26 September in Warsaw.
The meeting in the Polish Parliament, attended by representatives of nine CEI member states, discussed the road, infrastructural and energy connectivity among the Central European Initiative states as well as the Via Carpathian project.
Head of the Permanent Delegation of the Parliament of Montenegro to the CEI-PD Mr Miodrag Vuković addressed the present. He emphasised the importance of the Berlin Process for the Western Balkans region, stressing that through this framework, European funds for financing infrastructure projects have been made available, which would facilitate the reconstruction and development of roads, energy and telecommunication networks to the countries of the region. Mr Vuković also spoke on three most important projects in the field of infrastructure and energy in Montenegro: Bar - Boljare Highway, Adriatic-Ionian Highway and undersea cable between Montenegro and Italy.
Aside from delegation of the Parliament of Montenegro and the host country, the parliamentarians from the following countries: Bosnia and Herzegovina, Bulgaria, Croatia, Hungary, Romania, Serbia and Ukraine also took part in the event.
