Permanent Delegation of the Parliament of Montenegro to the NATO Parliamentary Assembly, composed of Mr Mišo Stanišić and Mr Genci Nimanbegu, is participating in the 63rd Annual Session of the NATO Parliamentary Assembly, taking place in Bucharest, Romania from 6 to 9 October 2017
On the second and third day of the Session, meetings of the following committees were held: Defence and Security Committee, Economics and Security Committee, Science and Technology Committee, Committee on the Civil Dimension of Security and the Political Committee.
During the work that has been done yesterday and today, members of the permanent Delegation of the Parliament of Montenegro voted for the first time at the meetings of all committees on resolutions and other documents on the agenda of the Parliamentary Session, since this was the first parliamentary session of NATO since Montenegro become a full member of the Alliance.
Third day of the Session was concluded with a meeting of the Standing Committee, in which the members of the permanent Delegation of the Parliament of Montenegro took part.
The 63rd NATO PA Annual Session in Bucharest gathered parliamentarians from 29 NATO member states, from North America and Europe, as well as delegates from partner countries and observer countries, with a goal to consider current security issues and draft reports of the Parliamentary Assembly’s committees in that respect.
The Session of the NATO Parliamentary Assembly continues tomorrow, when the Plenary Session will be held.
