Member of the Parliament of Montenegro's Permanent Delegation to the NATO Parliamentary Assembly Mr Obrad Mišo Stanišić will take part in the 97th Rose-Roth seminar of the NATO Parliamentary Assembly on: “Georgia and the Black Sea Region in the New Geopolitical Order”, which will be held in Georgia, on 23-25 April 2018.
The NATO Parliamentary Assembly, in cooperation with the Parliament of Georgia, and with the support of the Swiss Government, will organise the 97th Rose-Roth seminar.
The seminar will gather more than 100 participants - parliamentarians from NATO member states and partner countries, senior officials mostly from the host country, representatives of international organisations, non-governmental sector, universities, as well as representatives of the media.
For the most part, the seminar will be dedicated to informing the participants and developing discussion on the Black Sea region, Abkhazia and South Ossetia, reforms implemented in Georgia with special reference to the issue of consolidation of democracy and civil society in Georgia. Furthermore, the planned topics in the seminar include: Russia and the Northern Caucasus, transition to parliamentary democracy, the Russian factor, the area of Armenia and Azerbaijan, geopolitical aspects and internal development in the middle part of Asia.
This basic aim of this gathering is to provide a forum and to enable dialogue at the parliamentary level on the issues of security among the main legislators of the NATO member states and their counterparts from partner states and to provide current information from the subject field.
