Joint meeting of five committees of the NATO PA where our parliamentary delegation took part ends

Brussels, 18 - 20 February 2019

Permanent delegation of the Parliament of Montenegro to the NATO PA Parliamentary Assembly composed of Mr Obrad Mišo Stanišić, Head of Delegation, and Mr Genci Nimanbegu, member, took part in the work of the Joint Meeting of the Defence and Security, Economics and Security and Political Committees and officers of the Committee on the Civil Dimension of Security and of the Science and Technology Committee of NATO PA.

The meeting dealt with topics such as Current Arms Control Issues – Implications for NATO and Terrorism, Crime, and other Challenges to European Security in the Digital Age:  The Role and Contribution of the European Union

The Joint Meeting is reserved for member delegations of the North Atlantic Alliance and represents an opportunity for participants, in the context of professional support and exchange of knowledge, to develop a dialogue with the lecturers from NATO and other organisations based in Belgium on the current topics from the field of security and defence. Aside from meetings of the Parliamentary Assembly delegates at the NATO headquarters and outside, the Joint Committee meeting also provided meeting of the members of the NATO Working Group on Education and Communication about NATO. Their work aims to provide a broad picture of the models applied in the education systems of the member states of the Alliance, in the context of education on security issues and NATO.
