Parliament of Montenegro's Permanent Delegation to the NATO Parliamentary Assembly composed of Mr Obrad Mišo Stanišić and Mr Tarzan Milošević will take part in the 99th Rose-Roth Seminar and Mediterranean and Middle East Special Group (GSM), to be held in Antalya, Turkey, from 12-14 April 2019.
The NATO Parliamentary Assembly, in cooperation with the Turkish parliament, is organising the 99th Rose-Roth Seminar and Mediterranean and Middle East Special Group (GSM), to deal with the following issues: the situation in Syria; NATO partnership tools – new partners and experience sharing; Central Asia – stakes and challenges; migrations; Libya and the Sahel; change and continuity in the Gulf; the security situation in Iraq, China and Middle East; recent evolution in the Israel-Palestine conflict and other topical issues.
This event will gather more than a hundred participants - parliamentarians of NATO members, associate members and partner states. Also, many representatives of the host country, such as - high officials, representatives of international organisations, NGOs, universities and public opinion will take part in the event.
The main goal of this meeting is to provide a forum for exchanging views on the internal and external challenges facing countries and to facilitate parliamentary dialogue on security issues between key NATO lawmakers and their counterparts from partner countries. The issues of democratic governance and parliamentary oversight in the observed area will also be discussed.
